GROSSE POINTE, MICHIGAN
The Brave II
Identical to its twin sister on Omaha Beach, this iteration of Anilore’s sculpture found its place on the other side of the Atlantic. Much like the messages Anilore represents with her work, the synchronicity of life's waves created this new possibility. Anilore was contacted by the President and CEO of The Grosse Pointe War Memorial in Michigan, USA after visiting Omaha Beach. They had been struck with admiration for Les Braves and at once envisioned extending the series on their side of the pond. The sincere passion for the piece convinced Anilore that this was the right location for The Brave II (Les Braves II).

Since this new iteration is a replica only slightly smaller of the original work, Anilore utilized the original team and studio to ensure smooth and faithful production.

Installation of The Brave II
Her team’s dedication and commitment, both to the construction and to the logistics of the project execution, were admirable. A stirring testament to humanity's ability to unite with fierce determination when confronted by a cause greater than themselves.

Although these are the only two physical manifestations of The Brave, the artist continually uses these sculptures in painted form as a symbol of bravery, hope, and resilience. An example of this is when Anilore posted a digital version of The Brave in the national colors of Ukraine.
